Free Services for Accepted Electronics

Electronics recycling, approved pickups, data erasure or physical destruction, and recycling reports are all provided at no charge. Business collection bins and drop boxes, including delivery, collection, and exchanges for empties, are also free. There are no hidden service fees.

The only pickup restriction is whether the equipment, quantity, and travel involved make the trip practical. We review and confirm each pickup before scheduling. Approved pickups are free.

Please review our accepted items and contact us to arrange service and discuss your data-handling needs.

How We Can Help

Free Electronics Pickup

Have equipment at your business that needs to go? Our team can collect accepted electronics from your site and transport them for processing. Pickup availability depends on your equipment, quantity, and location. Contact us to confirm eligibility and arrange a pickup time. In covered areas, we complete pickups within 3 business days after approval. We will confirm your location qualifies and agree on the pickup date with you.

  • Office computers, monitors, and accessories
  • Servers, networking equipment, and computer components
  • Printers and other accepted office electronics

When you contact us, include an approximate item count and any access details, such as stairs or loading arrangements. Wait for confirmation before expecting a collection.

Free Local Drop-off

Recycling a smaller collection of electronics? Drop-offs are welcome without an appointment during opening hours at our main customer drop-off location near TV Hwy and Cornelius Pass. Call 1-833-GROVETS for directions. Discuss any business processing or documentation requirements with us before handoff.

  • Monday–Saturday: 10 AM–5 PM
  • Sunday: Closed
  • No appointment needed; call for directions

Our accepted and excluded item lists cover computers, mobile devices, gaming systems, and more. Lead-acid batteries and UPS units containing them are accepted. Lithium batteries, including LiPo batteries, are accepted inside accepted devices; loose lithium batteries are not accepted.

Data Erasure & Physical Destruction

Unwanted equipment can still contain business records or personal files. For documented customer collections, your method is recorded on the Data Destruction Selection Form before pickup. We provide verified sanitization or the selected physical destruction method, with documented custody and restricted-access handling.

  • Discuss the devices and storage media involved
  • Identify any company requirements before service
  • Agree on the handling method and documentation needed

Back up anything you need to keep before handing over a device. Tell us about any data-handling requirements before collection.

Explore Data Security & Reporting

Device Processing & Recycling Reports

For documented customer services, we provide a Certificate of Data Destruction after processing is complete and we have checked the records. It identifies the transaction and processed media or devices, with equipment quantities and serial numbers. Standard certificates are free. Anonymous drop-offs receive paperwork only when specifically requested.

  • Drive serial numbers, or device serial numbers / IMEIs for integrated storage
  • Transaction details and equipment quantities
  • Additional inventory and reporting arrangements confirmed before pickup

Additional equipment inventory and reporting requirements are recorded in your signed Pickup Inventory and Reporting Requirements Form. We confirm requested arrangements before pickup.

Free Collection Bins & Drop Boxes for Businesses

Give your team a designated place to collect unwanted electronics. We deliver collection bins and drop boxes to your business and collect them when you are ready. For ongoing collections, we exchange filled containers for empty ones.

Recurring Service

If your business regularly retires equipment, we can exchange filled containers for empty ones. Contact our team to arrange delivery and collection.

One-Time Electronics Cleanouts

Planning an office move, equipment upgrade, or large storage-room cleanout? We can deliver bins or drop boxes for the project and arrange collection when the accepted electronics are ready.

Delivery, Collection, and Exchanges at No Charge

The bins and service are free. We confirm arrangements based on your equipment, quantity, location, and the travel involved. Contact us with your city or ZIP code, approximate equipment counts, site access details, and whether you need a one-time collection or recurring service.

Use the containers for accepted electronics. Discuss any data-handling or reporting requirements with us before collection.

Pickup Service Area

We arrange electronics pickups throughout Oregon, Washington, Northern California, and surrounding states. Have a larger load farther away? Contact us. We also consider longer-distance pickups.

Pickup availability depends on the type and quantity of equipment, your location, and the travel involved. For example, a pallet of laptops may justify a longer trip, while a small collection of cables alone may not.

Tell us what you have, the approximate quantity, and your city or ZIP code. We review each request individually and confirm whether we can arrange a pickup before scheduling.

How Business Collections Work

  1. Tell Us What You Have

Send a brief description of the equipment, approximate quantities, and whether you need pickup or drop-off. Include any questions about accepted items or data.

  2. Agree on the Details

We discuss collection arrangements, data-handling requirements, and reporting needs with you before service.

  3. Prepare Your Equipment

Back up files you want to keep, separate items you intend to retain, and gather the accepted equipment for the arranged pickup or drop-off.

  4. Processing & Documentation

For documented collections, your equipment is processed according to the selected method. A Certificate of Data Destruction is issued after processing and a check of the records; additional reporting follows the arrangements confirmed before pickup. Anonymous drop-offs receive documentation only when requested.

Recycling Preparation Checklist

Use this checklist when planning a business cleanout or collection. Exact counts and model numbers are not needed for your first inquiry.

Gather the Equipment

  • Check our accepted and excluded items. Set aside anything you intend to keep.
  • Remove ink and toner cartridges from printers and other printing equipment.
  • Estimate the number of computers, displays, drives, and other electronics.
  • Gather accepted accessories, chargers, and cables with the equipment.
  • Leave lithium batteries installed in accepted devices; do not add loose lithium batteries to the collection. Lead-acid batteries are accepted separately.

Prepare Your Data Requirements

  • Back up files you need before handing over devices. You do not need to erase them yourself to use our data-handling service.
  • Remove account locks and MDM enrollment if possible. This is preferred, not required.
  • Confirm your processing choice and complete the Data Destruction Selection Form before a documented pickup.
  • Specify any additional inventory or reporting needs before collection.

Plan Access and Collection

  • Share your city or ZIP code and approximate equipment quantity.
  • Mention stairs, loading areas, access restrictions, and where the equipment is stored.
  • Tell us whether you need a one-time cleanout or recurring bin exchanges.
  • Wait for our confirmation before treating a requested date as a scheduled appointment.

Keep Your Request Simple

  • Describe equipment and requirements without sending passwords or confidential files.
  • Optional photos can help us assess a collection; avoid readable screens, labels, or documents containing customer information.
  • Personal drop-offs need no appointment during opening hours. Call for directions. Anonymous drop-offs do not require routine paperwork.
  • Request a specific method, certificate, or report before handing over an anonymous drop-off.

Before You Arrange Service

Can I Watch My Devices Being Shredded?

No. For safety, our main customer drop-off location is separate from our shredding facility. We do not offer live viewing of destruction, either in person or by video. See our data-handling process and documentation options.

Do Anonymous Drop-offs Require Paperwork?

No. Anonymous drop-offs receive our highest level of data protection, with processing appropriate to the media, without a selection form. Forms, certificates, or reports are provided only when specifically requested. Tell us before handing over equipment if you need a particular method or documentation.

Does Equipment Need to Work?

No. Accepted equipment can be working, broken, incomplete, or dismantled. The same accepted-item and battery rules apply regardless of condition.

Do You Accept Every Electronic Item?

No. We accept a wide range of electronics, but medical equipment, mobility scooters, powered wheelchairs, all lighting, and some household appliances and other items are excluded. Check the recycling lists and contact us if an item is unclear.

What About Batteries, Printers, and Displays?

Lead-acid batteries and UPS units containing them are accepted. Lithium batteries, including LiPo batteries, are accepted when installed in accepted devices, including e-bikes and electric kick scooters. Loose lithium batteries are not accepted. We accept any TV or monitor, regardless of type, size, or condition. Remove ink and toner cartridges from printing equipment before recycling. No lighting of any kind is accepted.

Do I Need to Remove Account Locks or MDM?

Removing account locks, activation locks, and mobile device management (MDM) enrollment is preferred, but not required. We accept locked devices. If possible, sign out of your accounts and ask your organization to remove its management enrollment before collection. Back up files you want to keep and discuss data-handling requirements with us. Do not send us your passwords.

How Soon Can You Pick Up?

In covered areas, we complete pickups within 3 business days after approval. We will confirm your location qualifies and agree on the pickup date with you. Longer-distance requests outside covered areas are assessed and scheduled individually.

What Should I Include in a Pickup Request?

You can attach an existing equipment list as a PDF, Excel (.xlsx), or CSV file. A short list is enough to start: equipment types, approximate quantities, and your city or ZIP code. Mention whether the equipment is upstairs, in storage, or near a loading area. These details help us assess the trip and discuss collection arrangements with you.

What Should I Set Aside Before Collection?

Separate anything you plan to keep, including accessories and storage devices. Back up files you need and review the accepted and excluded lists. If you are unsure about an item or its battery, ask us before including it in the load.

Can You Help Plan an Office Cleanout?

Yes. We can deliver free collection bins or drop boxes for a one-time electronics cleanout, or arrange recurring container exchanges. We can also discuss how to organize unwanted equipment, prepare for collection, and identify data-handling and reporting needs. Contact us while you are planning so those details can be agreed before pickup.
